W.O.T.M. OFFICERS 2008-2009
Note: Officers and Chairmen will be published in the
next issue.
From the Senior Regent
Well co-workers, it is another year and a new Board
of Officers and Chairmen. For those of you that do
not know me, I am Wanda Griffin, Senior Regent, and
I have been down this road before. Please feel free
to introduce yourself to me in the lodge and I will
be glad to help you with any questions or problems
you may have. I am looking forward to making new
friends this year and working with all of you to
make this a successful year. To do that though, I
will need your help. We are looking for chairmen to
fill the empty chairs for this year. If you would
like to help us and have fun too, please volunteer
to take one of these chairs.
Congratulations to Mary Keating who was chosen as
our Chapter’s Co-worker of the year for 2007-2008.
Congratulations to Joan Grace who was our nominee
for the International Co-worker of the year for
2006-2007. This was announced at the convention in
Greenville in March.
There were some great fund-raisers in March, such as
the Chinese Auction, Book and Bake Sale and the
Afghan Raffle. Thank you Jackie Johnson, Julia Hall
and Mary Malarich for a job well done.
Carrie Woods will be our new academy member
recognized at the Academy of Friendship Chapter
Night. Good work Carrie.
Hope to see you all at future meetings and
fund-raisers.
Love and Peace,
Wanda Griffin
Senior Regent
From the Past Senior
Regent
A year full of change began by the dissolving of the
ritual team and continued with a new meeting
structure, which made this past year difficult but
still exciting. After all, we did adopt a
Grandmother at Moosehaven!
I would like to thank the W.O.T.M. Officers &
Chairmen as well as the L.O.O.M. Officers for
helping us achieve our goals. Our Chairmen did an
excellent job of raising funds for our charities and
projects and our sponsors increased our membership
in a big way. Thank you all so much!
Let us not forget to support the “Gimme 5” program
for the long-term financial support of our children
and seniors.
I would like to leave you with this thought: “Love
doesn’t make the world go around; Love makes the
ride worthwhile.”
Good luck Wanda, in your new year!
Fraternally yours,
Susan Bidinger, Past Senior Regent
.
